Terms of service
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Keyframe (“Keyframe”, “we”, “us”), the operator of www.keyframe.world, and govern your use of the Keyframe animation studio, website and paid Agent subscription (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, subscribing or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy and to our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract under the law that applies to you and are not barred from using it under any applicable law. The Service is not directed to children under 16.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
2. Accounts
The editor can be used without an account. An account is required to subscribe. You must provide an accurate email address, keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account.
Each person may hold one account. Creating several accounts to obtain additional usage allowance or refunds is not permitted.
3. The Service
Keyframe is an animation editor that runs in your web browser. Creating, editing and exporting projects is free of charge.
A paid subscription adds the Agent and its AI features, including planning and applying edits, generating images and separating a picture into layers (the “AI Features”).
4. Subscription, payment and renewal
Price. The Agent subscription costs US$19 per month, exclusive of any taxes shown at checkout.
Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to the Paddle buyer terms presented at checkout.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each month, and your payment method is charged at the then-current price, until you cancel.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period already paid for; you keep access until then and are not charged again.
Immediate start. The AI Features are made available as soon as your payment is confirmed. By subscribing you expressly request that we begin providing them immediately, and you acknowledge that, where the law gives you a right to withdraw from the purchase, you lose that right once you start using the AI Features, to the extent the law allows.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund Policy or as required by law.
Price changes. We may change the price for future billing periods and will give you reasonable advance notice. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
Payment disputes. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us first so we can put it right. If a payment is disputed with a bank or card issuer, access to the AI Features is suspended while the dispute is open, and an account with an upheld dispute may not subscribe again.
5. Usage limits and fair use
The subscription is not unlimited. Each billing period includes an allowance of AI usage, shown as a percentage on your account page and in the Agent panel. When the allowance is used up, the AI Features are unavailable until the next billing period. Unused allowance does not carry over and has no cash value.
We also limit the number of AI requests that may run at the same time and per hour. A request that reaches our AI provider counts towards your allowance even if the result is not usable.
6. Your content
Storage. Your projects, imported files, edit history, generated results and Agent conversations (“Your Content”) are stored in your browser on your own device. We do not hold a copy and cannot recover it. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example by exporting a project package.
Ownership. As between you and us, you own Your Content. We claim no ownership of it.
Licence to operate the Service. When you use an AI Feature, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to transmit and process the parts of Your Content that the request requires, solely to carry out that request. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.
Your responsibility. You confirm that you have the rights needed to use Your Content with the Service and that it does not infringe the rights of others or break the law.
7. AI Features and output
Output. As between you and us, and to the extent permitted by law, you own the output the AI Features produce for you. Because of how these systems work, output may not be unique, and other users may receive similar output.
Accuracy. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on, publishing or distributing it. Changes proposed by the Agent are applied to a project only after you review them and can be undone.
Providers. The AI Features rely on third-party model providers. Their availability and behaviour may change.
8. Acceptable use
You must not: (a) use the Service in breach of any law or to infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights; (b) create or distribute content that is unlawful, that sexualises minors, or that is intended to deceive, harass or harm others; (c) probe, disrupt or overload the Service or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it; (d) circumvent usage limits, including by creating multiple accounts; (e) resell, share or sublicense access to the AI Features, or use them through automated means not provided by the Service; (f) abuse the refund process, including repeated purchase-and-refund cycles; or (g) reverse engineer the Service except where the law expressly permits it.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, name and logo, is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service. No other rights are granted.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation.
10. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties, including Paddle for payments and model providers for the AI Features. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
11. Copyright complaints
If you believe that material available through the Service infringes your copyright, email us with a description of the work, the material concerned and your contact details. We will review and respond to valid notices.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonable, if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, if your payment is reversed or disputed, or if we are required to do so by law. Fees are not refunded on termination for breach, except as required by law.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including those on ownership, disclaimers, liability and disputes, continue to apply.
13. Changes to the Service
We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue a paid feature in a way that materially reduces the subscription, we will give subscribers advance notice, and you may cancel.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, including loss of content stored in your browser.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim and US$100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
16. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from Your Content or from your breach of these Terms or of the law.
17. Governing law and disputes
Before bringing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in its courts.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify subscribers by email or in the Service before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
19. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a transfer of the Service.
Where a translation of these Terms differs from the English version, the English version prevails to the extent the law allows.
